To know :
On board, you are accompanied by an experienced captain and guide trained in first aid at sea.
The distance of whale watching with a boat in French Polynesia is 100m. This means that you have to know how to swim a distance of a hundred meters to approach the whale in snorkeling (at 30m). We must also take into account the sea depths which can reach 2,500m between Tahiti and Moorea.
To swim in the high seas, we prohibit the use of snorkeling face masks (or “Teletubbies” 😊 mask). After a long, breathless swim the person no longer receives enough oxygen and ends up suffocating.

This type of mask is strongly discouraged for physical efforts.
Traditional masks and snorkels are the right equipment.
PREDICTABLE :
Seasickness ...
If you are prone to seasickness we advise you to consult your doctor or pharmacist who will prescribe the appropriate medication for seasickness to take 30 minutes before boarding.
What to bring ...
-
Bath towel, swimsuit ...
-
Sun protection: sunscreen (preferably biodegradable), sunglasses, cap, lycra ...
-
For the more cautious: spare or rain clothes or overalls. The weather at sea is very changeable (wind and spray), it can be cold.
-
For health reasons related to Covid, it is best to take your own equipment (fins, mask, snorkel), drinks and snacks with you. But if necessary, we always have water on board and equipment available.

Discovery of marine flora and fauna while snorkeling
(Fins, mask and snorkels)

The order of the stops could be modified and we adapt the program according to your wishes.
We will start with a stop on the sandbank where you can swim safely with Pointe Noire sharks and Stingrays (we do not feed).
Along the way, on the side of the passes, we will go in search of and observation of dolphins which often offer us a nice aquatic broom.
The walk also invites you to contemplate the rugged reliefs of the island and the exceptional blue of the lagoon.
We will then continue towards the coral reef, for a snorkeling behind the Motu (islets), teeming with underwater life and teeming with multicolored fish.
And finally, we will stop in an area where turtles usually rest. You will be able to evolve in the water at their side, it's worth a look.
On board, cookies, water and fruit juices are at your disposal. We can provide you with life jacket, fins, masks and snorkels (You will need to tell us your sizes)
Think about your towels, sunscreens, and a change of clothes or rain gear. The weather can be changeable (wind and spray).
