Cetaceans are wild animals, during the research phase, their observation or launching is not 100% guaranteed as well as the good weather!

To know :

On board, you are accompanied by an experienced captain and guide trained in first aid at sea.

The distance of whale watching with a boat in French Polynesia is 100m. This means that you have to know how to swim a distance of a hundred meters to approach the whale in snorkeling (at 30m). We must also take into account the sea depths which can reach 2,500m between Tahiti and Moorea.

To swim in the high seas, we prohibit the use of snorkeling face masks (or “Teletubbies” 😊 mask). After a long, breathless swim the person no longer receives enough oxygen and ends up suffocating.

Une expérience unique au monde ! Masque facial + traditionnel - Moorea Deep Blue Whale Baleine dolphin dauphin

This type of mask is strongly discouraged for physical efforts.

Traditional masks and snorkels are the right equipment.
