Description of the excursion of the whale excursion

The outing begins with a briefing on cetaceans, before heading out in search of humpback whales and dolphins. Launching is possible depending on weather conditions and especially on the behavior of the humpback whales. Our priority is whale watching from the boat and swimming (there's no obligation to go in the water).

Stopping at the rays and sharks will depend on the time remaining.

On board biscuits, water and fruit juice are at your disposal. We also provide you with vest, fins, masks and snorkels.

Think of your towels, sunscreen and spare or rain clothes. The weather at sea is very changeable (wind and spray).

This activity is only done by swimming on the surface with fins, mask and snorkel.

To know :

On board, you are accompanied by an experienced captain and guide, both are trained in first aid at sea and in the profession of guide or captain.

The whale watching distance with a boat in French Polynesia is 100m. This means that you have to know how to swim over a distance of a hundred meters to approach the whale by snorkeling (30m). We must also take into account the sea depths which can reach 2,500m between Tahiti and Moorea.

For swimming on the high seas, we prohibit the use of Snorkeling face masks (or "Teletubbies" mask 😊). After a long, breathless swim, the person no longer receives enough oxygen and ends up suffocating.

(*) Cetaceans are wild animals. During the research phase, their observation or launching is not 100% guaranteed as well as good weather!

A unique experience in the world! Face mask + traditional - Moorea Deep Blue Whale Whale dolphin dolphin

This type of mask is strongly discouraged for physical exertion.

Traditional masks and snorkels are adequate equipment.

Description of the ocean tour

The order of the stops could be modified and we adapt the program according to your desires.

We will start with a stop on the sandbar where you can swim safely with Black Tip sharks and stingrays (we do not feed).

Along the way, on the side of the passes, we will go in search and observation of the dolphinsn and whales during the saison (300m distance) which often offer us a nice aquatic broom.

The walk also invites you to contemplate the steep reliefs of the island and the exceptional blue of the lagoon.

We will then continue towards the coral reef, for snorkeling behind the Motu (islets), teeming with underwater life and teeming with multicolored fish.

And finally, we will stop in an area where turtles usually rest. You will be able to move in the water alongside them, it's worth a look.

On board, biscuits, water and fruit juice are at your disposal. We also provide you with vest, fins, masks and snorkels (You will have to tell us your sizes)

Think about your towels, sunscreen and spare or rain clothes. The weather can be changeable (wind and spray).
